THE WHITE HOUSE
WASHINGTON
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER, INDRAPRASHTA APOLLO HOSPITAL

Dear Mr. Chander Shukla,
On behalf of the white House Medical Unit, I want to express our appreciation to you for the support of Indraprastha Apollo Hospital in President Clinton's visit to New Delhi, India during 19-25 March 2000………. Obviously, a presidential visit to a foreign country involves the coordination of multiple services and your hospital's assistance in assessing our needs and providing for a complete medical contingency plan was most impressive…

I am grateful to your staff in the Administrative, Emergency and Critical Care Department who was most helpful…. Please extend our appreciation also to your emergency on call staff and to all of the "behind the scenes" personnel, whose efforts, though often taken for granted, are as essential to the well being of the President as they are to the many you serve every day.

Thank you once again for helping to make President Clinton's visit a safer one. Please accept the enclosed certificate as a token of our sincere appreciation of your excellent service.
